Hardfacing
Wires
-
Open-arc Build-up and Hardfacing wires
These wires are preferred over the conventional electrodes
because of better deposition rates, greater flexibility
in the choice of alloys for those difficult hardfacing applications.
They are also very versatile since they require only a standard
power source and a wire feed unit. The equipment being simple,
machine down time is minimized. These wires are generally
categorized as Austenitic wires used primarily for corrosion
and impact resistance, ferritic-martensitic wires for moderate
to heavy abrasion and impact resistance and Chrome-carbide
& Complex carbide wires for heave abrasion resistance.
Some of the most popular wires are 19-9-6-O, AP-O, P-O,
L-O, HC-O, CN-O, and CNV-O. Welding Alloys can also manufacture
wires for any specific alloys required by you.
-
Stelloy Cobalt base and Nickel base
These are available in all the standard grades, viz., Stellite
Gr-1, Gr-6, Gr-12, and Gr-21 as well as special grades.
They are widely used in the hardfacing and cladding of valve
body seats, wedges, rings in the chemical and petrochemical
industries. Welding Alloys can also manufacture wires for
any specific alloys required by you.
- Corbronze
range of wires for surfacing applications
The Corbronze range of wires are Copper base alloys with
additions of Aluminum, Nickel designed for resistance to
marine corrosion, metal to metal friction corrosion, erosion.
These find application in corrosive environments like turbulent
seawater corrosion, super heated steam induced corrosion,
and high temperature induced corrosive environments. Welding
Alloys can also manufacture wires for any specific alloys
required by you. Please contact us at sales@makvin.com for your specific requirements.
